In 2010, Parks became the trustee for a living trust that was designed to pay for the victim's expenses after she was injured in the motorcycle accident, according to records filed in the case. Buddy, a three-year-old "micro bully dog," escaped his family's yard this past summer. A neighbor reported seeing Buddy run down the street and caught him. Another neighbor, named Jose Haughton, said he would return Buddy to his family. Video evidence from Haughton's home, a transitional housing facility, showed that the dog was inside the house, but Haughton denied ever having the dog. At approximately 9:47 p.m., Tacoma Police Department (TPD) officers responded to reports of a domestic dispute in the 700 block of S. 38th Street in Tacoma, TPD announced Monday. Officers surrounded the location upon arrival and began to negotiate with the individuals as additional resources were dispatched to the scene.
